At least it is in my neck of the woods. It’s also heading towards the weekend and I am very short on time as I prepare for a restful couple of days with family. Here is a fun little poll to see how warm everyone keeps their house at. Go ahead and vote and enjoy your weekend!

I voted based on our daytime thermostat setting of 66-68, but we turn it down to 62 at night and may be trying it out a little cooler both day and night before long.

I haven’t had any need to turn on my heat yet this year, in either WA or down South, but do not turn up the heat to higher than 62ish without a good reason for doing so (illness, new baby, that sort of thing). Instead, I have down and wool bedding for all of the beds, wool & silk undergarments for Sarah & I to wear both during day & night, wool sweaters, and so on. I also make use of a fireplace whenever we have had one, as well as the heat that is produced for the daily use of the kitchen. I also have been spoiled with very irresponsible neighbors in nearly every apt we have lived in, who crank their heat up to ridiculously high levels and help heat my home for me ;o)
