I have no tips, but I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying your blog! I discovered it through your guest post at SortaCrunchy, and it's really been helpful/eye-opening. Thanks!

I have an older post (from June) that applies - would you like me to join in, or is this just for recent posts? Thanks!

I freeze steamed greens for soups, green beans and tomatoes. I make dilly beans and fridge pickles from our share.

I'm sorry I haven't had a post to contribute to this topic on the right day yet! But I will say that I'm thoroughly enjoying my CSA. Our includes eggs but the yolks are not nearly as orange as I'd hoped so these poor chickens are clearly not the free-range grub pecking grass loving kind I wanted to support. Ah, well.

I like that - a time of more and a time of less. I've heard a couple times how many thousands of choices we have when we shop in the store. Product overload! Seems like the produce department keeps losing flavor. Choices are limited at my local farmer's market - 7 vendors on a good day :-( Do you can any of the produce from the CSA or farmer's markets? I've thought about it but was wondering if anybody else did.

I'm not entirely sure whether my link "fits" your theme, though it deals with ways of finding organic and local produce/products... but I thought your post was great so I wanted to participate if it does fit!

I really feel strongly about this topic too, and am trying to do better with it myself... I come from an all-conventional-food background, so it's been a bit of a transition. Exciting though! I'm lucky to have a little weekly farmers market right by where I work, and another near my house, so that helps! Next week they're doing a corn roast and I can't wait.. yum!
