Going to farmer's markets is taking up much of my time. It's great to get those wonderful homegrown veggies. Our own garden is also supplying many goodies like peppers, zucchini and other gourds. What wonderful colors and flavors!!! Kale, sauteed in olive oil and garlic served over some brown rice is great comfort food. Also, cooking some spinach and cauliflower with some spices like Garam Masala or tumeric and cumin, onions and some coconut milk. All this over some brown rice or pasta. Yes!!!

Shannon,

Here's an awesome, simple soup with kale and beans - I know you have too many of those! ;)

I love eating more locally & seasonally. Instead of eating the same thing all year long our diet is varied and delicious. I just dug some sweet potatoes from the garden this year and I'm excited to eat them. They're perfectly warming in winter.

Hi Jenny, thanks for doing this food roots carnival, here is a story of two women who are connecting their community to their "food roots" using online marketing!

A great idea that may inspire others to start a green business in their home town!
