Last week we had a series of rainy days. When the sun shines and I can get my hands in the dirt I seem to forget the importance of the rainy days. Without them where would be?
After one full day of rain, though, the little ones start to get antsy… and so do I. A day is not complete, after all, without digging in the dirt.
I do so enjoy the slow nesting of these days, though, it’s so nice to just…

eat a hot stack of pancakes…

admire our tiny little tomato forest…

and the seedlings that were left out…

stare at the laundry that was hung Tuesday and finally dry and taken down on Saturday…

eat green things…

and wait for an 80 degree day like today to spend in the garden. Full report tomorrow.
