A Blogging Year in Review

This has been the inaugural year for Nourishing Days and I can’t believe how much this year has brought. This blog has evolved into something I never imagined. The new opportunities for learning, sharing, and growing have been such a blessing and continue to surprise me every week. In the spirit of reviewing all that 2009 has brought on this blog I thought I’d share the most popular articles and recipes.

As I looked through last year’s nourishing new year’s goals I was really surprised to see that I had actually met all of my dietary goals for 2009. Surprised because I have not looked at that list for at least eight months, if not twelve. I believe these goals were partially met due to the encouragement and knowledge that I have received through resources such as our local Weston Price Foundation and our family chiropractor.

Primarily, though, encouragement comes from my family and all of you. I want to thank you for being a part of my journey towards a nourishing home in 2009. I have been deeply inspired, encouraged and supported through this website and all of the wonderful comments and emails that you have taken the time to write.

I am looking forward to another year of slowing down and taking the time to nourish my family, our home, and share that journey with all of you. What are you thinking of during this new year?

  1. In the New Year I hope to start cutting out the unwholesome food in my diet. I’ve done a great job of adding nourishing food (although I still have a lot to learn!) but in order to lose weight and feel healthy I need to stop eating junk just because it’s convenient.

  2. Hi Shannon! What a day for me to find YOUR site…you’ve highlighted everything important for me to read from the last year (snort)! What a wonderful coincidence.

    Happy New Year…and bon appetit!

  3. Hi! I’m a new reader and have really been enjoying your blog. Some of my goals for the New Year are:
    – to incorporate at least one whole grain a day (hopefully each meal)
    – to eat out once a week or less
    – to eat fruits and vegetables with every meal
    – to figure out how to eat this way on a tight budget!
