Hi Shannon, I love your website and envy your simple life. I wanted to do the same when my family was very young but my husband was never on board. Back then I subscribed to a magazine put out by a family that was home-steading in WA state, it was called Gentle Spirit. I loved it, wish I had kept them.
I was wondering if you have a copy of Carla Emery’s Encyclopedia of Country Living? Fantastic book on every subject, not sure if it’s still available. In it i recently found a recipe for fermented pickling and I’m going to use my great great grandmothers 150 year old crocks.
God bless your endeavors and your beautiful family,
Shawna
