With all that has occurred in the last year the topic of illness has certainly been on people’s minds. I think we can agree everyone thinks about it. Whether you are for or against masks, or vaccines, or natural treatments is irrelevant to the point at hand. Each mask you see, each news story, and each time a person is faced with a decision to do or not do something is a reminder of sickness and disease. I’ve also had health issues in the last year and I’ve had several relatives who are encountering some very serious health struggles of one kind or another. It is with all this as a backdrop that I place the question before you, does God use sickness? And if so, what for?

Be Careful of the Name

Masks and police won’t fix this one.

The events of our day seem on the surface to be spiraling out of control. Trial upon trial seem to convulse the nation and even the world. How are we to make sense of all these things? And is there any point of application to the madness we see around us? The Bible should be our guide in trying to answer these types of questions and it is not silent on the issues of our day. It is just as applicable today as it has always been.

In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes. (Judges 21:25)

  1. Wow! God’s timing is amazing!
    I haven’t listened to either of these yet, so I don’t know if they are what I need but the fact that these are 2 subjects I want to share with my sister and they came to me just now seems providential.

    I just found out that my un-saved little sister has lung cancer that has spread into her lymph nodes. Through the tears my heart crystal out for the means to share God with this strong, stubborn woman. I’m on the east coast, she is on the west.

    I am going to listen now. I just wanted to share with you how important your messages can be.
