100% RYE Now Available in Kindle and Other News

It’s been fun to open up my inbox and chat with those who have been baking through 100% RYE. So far I’ve helped troubleshoot a few things while hearing back that they love the focaccia, the tortillas, the sourdough loaves, and the pizza crusts.

One thing we recently noticed was that on the homepage for 100% RYE the sample recipe was not completely representative of the book. It was a soaked, yeast-risen recipe, only one of two in the whole book not utilizing sourdough as the leavening agent for yeast-risen breads. There is now a new sample recipe that can be downloaded.

Now Available in Kindle

You can now find 100% RYE in kindle format on amazon. Strange but true.

Paperback Coming Soon

In other news, a proof copy of the book came in the mail today. It’s strange and wonderful to open up a box and see something in print like that. The book seemed smaller, somehow, in PDF format and to see it in print brings back all that went into it. If you are interested in a paperback copy of the book, you can sign up here to be notified as soon as it’s available.

My friend Jenny from Nourished Kitchen allowed me to share my love for baking with 100% Rye Sourdough. There you can find photos, a recipe, and some details on how our family started baking with rye.

Featured at Traditional Cooking School

My friend Wardeh also featured 100% RYE on her Traditional Cooking School site. There you can find more photos and all of the wonderful aspects of this traditional grain that drew our family in.

Thanks so much for all of your support, comments, and emails regarding 100% RYE. And happy weekend, friends!

    1. Hi Deborah,

Thanks for your question. We are working on getting everyone a free Kindle version who already purchased a PDF. The Kindle version will be through Smashwords since it allows us to give them away for free. As soon as it is ready to go we will e-mail the link and/or coupon code to everyone who has purchased the PDF.

    1. Kathryn – Rye does contain gluten, albeit in a slightly different form from wheat. I don’t believe we’ve made any claims that rye or the recipes in the book are gluten-free. The 100% indicates that all recipes are made with 100% rye flour with no other wheat flour or starches in the mix.

      Thanks!
