Who needs forgiveness and why? The short answer is that all men need forgiveness because all are sinners. J.C. Ryle notes that, “The first step towards heaven is to see clearly that we deserve hell. There are but two alternatives before us: we must either be forgiven, or be miserable forever.” With all the news swirling about the world it is important to recognize the greatest plague of all. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world (or even just deliverance from the Corona virus), and lose his own soul?
